Project Ron Saks Proposal

My idea is to make a short animation that should be with in 5 minutes. This animation is a love story of a she cat and dog.
I was inspired by the following image, so I really want to make a little animation about different animals which can still get alone with.

My story is that the dog first doesn't care about the cat, no matter how hard the cat tries to get his attention. Then, the dog notices the cat and they are together. A very simple story that can be finished in one minute. There is one scene I really want to have in the animation is that the dog hugs the cat over like it is in the image. I wish the animation is in a simple but warm style.

For this project, I think I will need at least two members who knows how to use flash, or harmony, and after effects. I also need at least one person to do the character and environment designs. I need one person who is responsible for the sound and music which will be needed in the animation. Photo and illustration majors are so welcomed!

Another option for this animation could be hand drawn animation.

Four Sisters IV

I failed to complete this project, so I think I should post my progress on this project and finish it later on.

This is the finished no color version of my project. I spent too much time on it, especially on cleaning lines. I didn't get a lot of time left to color. = = That was bad...

This is only 50% colored.  >_< I will keep completing it = =

Four Sisters III

Over this week, I finished the design of Yellow. I set her as a elementary student who is very soon to be a middle school student. Of course, she also has her family trait --  big blue eyes!

I also rearranged the composition for the final version! For now, Red is sitting up and is reading a book with her sister Blue. Two pillows are added to this composition, so the whole piece felt warm. I scaled the whole piece so the window showed more in the composition.

Four Sisters II

I designed Sister Red for my Four Sisters project. I set her as a high school girl who looks and dresses herself like a boy. She is kind of childish but she looks a little bit older than her age. Her eyes are the most beautiful eyes among her family. All of the family members have blue eyes, but hers are so special. When she is dealing with people who are not from her family, she is indifferent to everyone. She doesn't even pay attention to people she doesn't care.

I think I will set Yellow, the youngest sister, as a middle school girl. She is childish and likes candy and other children stuffs. I haven't finish sketching her yet, because i don't know how to draw a kid.... That is difficult to me>_< I often draw people older than they actually are. Drawing young child is challenging to me! My solution is to learn how to draw young children this week!
Yellow -- a big failure this week >''<

Also, I planed my composition for the final version of my project. I am thinking about that they reunion around Christmas. This following scene happens in the afternoon of Christmas Eve, taking place in the study room. They are all settling at the big french window. Purple is standing and watching her siblings' having fun; Blue is sitting in front of the window and reading her favorite story book; Red is resting on Blue's thigh, falling to sleep; Yellow is sitting on the wool carpet and play with her most loved, humongous teddy bear.

New technology I used this week: Photoshop! I used Photoshop to do all the drawings!
