Project Duncan Proposal

I proposed an idea for Ron Saks Project, but it didn't get selected. I really like that idea of making an animation about the love of a cat and a dog. I don't want to give it up, so I decide to pick it up and accomplish it for this project.

This was my old sketch.

I plan to shorten and simplify this animation down to 30 seconds. I will use some really simple lines to illustrate the cat an dog. The background will be scanned watercolor paintings and animated by Storyboard.

schedule
April 3 finished storyboard, designs of the dog and cat
April 5 starting working on the first second. Presumably, the first few frames will be done. The watercolor background will be finished.
April 10 working on the first 10 seconds.
April 12 first 15 seconds finished.
April 19 20 seconds finished
April 26 25 seconds finished
March 3 30 seconds finished. finished product posted on the blog

Ron Saks Project: Jessica Landscape II

I went out and shot some photos for this project this week.
I found out this bird feeder on campus. When the first time I saw it, I had this strong impression that this was a place. A place for someone to live in. It has fences, houses, and its owners -- birds.

This place waits for its owners to come back everyday and watches its owners to leave everyday.

I took some other photos of campus.

These are my contact sheets.

Ron Saks Project I: Jessica Landscape

I am in Jessica's group, so what we need to do is to take landscape pictures~OwO
Since I don't have a car in Columbus and I am living on campus, I plan to shoot around campus. Presumably, I am going to shoot downtown Columbus. I find out that there are two Gothic churches around campus and I think they are perfect to shoot. Other locations might be on campus. I think CCAD campus is actually a very fun place to shoot at.

This following photo was shot this afternoon when sun was setting. I was experimenting with it.
